Mini trucks are the low cost alternative to conventional ATV’s.
Mini trucks have a cab and a larger bed than any standard ATV, and better
mileage. All this at about half of the price of
a standard 4x4 ATV.
The 1980’s models have 40 horsepower 550 cc engines and the 1990’s
models have 45 horsepower 660 cc engines. They have a manual
transmission - occasionally a 6 speed or an automatic transmission.
Mini-trucks have changed in size over the years, but for comparison
purposes, units from the 1980’s and 1990’s are typically about 2/3
the length and 3/4 the width of a Dodge Dakota.

In Missouri the
mini trucks are exemption from license and are use as ATV's. This allows
you to drive legally anywhere but the interstate. Check with your local
and state authorities to see what laws apply in your state.
